Arizona Gives Day 2014

Flagstaff spurs online giving to local charities during 2nd annual Arizona Gives Day
Arizona Gives Day on April 9, 2014 is a 24-hour online giving marathon entering its second year dedicated to increasing giving to non-profit organizations. Similar statewide giving days occur across the nation and last year’s campaign raised over $1 million on Arizona Gives Day 2013 for Arizona nonprofits.

Donations to the participating nonprofit of your choice can be made at www.azgives.org on April 9, 2014. Participants may also schedule a donation, in case they forget about April 9th or are too busy that day. In either case, through Arizona Gives Day, Flagstaff residents will have an inspiring way to join with thousands of others to donate to community organizations.

Flagstaff nonprofits need to sign up by February 28, 2014 at www.azgives.org in order to participate.

The Flagstaff Community Foundation (FCF) is mounting a major effort to get the word out about Arizona Gives Day.

“We see one of the roles of the Flagstaff Community Foundation as a convener of local philanthropy,” said Geoffrey Barnard, FCF Advisory Board Co-Chair. “This is an opportunity for individuals to directly support their favorite local organizations. It’s fun. It’s easy. And it makes a huge difference.”
